The box-office collections of director Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Thugs Of Hindostan (2018) have been falling rapidly after its record-breaking opening day on 8 November.

The film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif earned less than Rs1 crore yesterday, making just Rs75 lakh nett, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com. This is the first time the film's daily collection has gone under Rs1 crore.

Thugs Of Hindostan had broken the opening day box-office record by becoming the first Hindi film to cross the Rs50 crore mark. But negative reviews and word-of-mouth hurt the film badly thereafter.

Meanwhile, Mohalla Assi and Pihu, which were released last Friday, continued their dismal run after their first Monday yesterday. The Sunny Deol-starrer had earned just Rs1 crore in its first weekend. The Chandraprakash Dwivedi film fell further yesterday, making just Rs20 lakh.

Pihu fared slightly better, but it does not bode well for the film. The Vinod Kapri direrctorial earned Rs25 lakh yesterday and took its overall total to just Rs1.90 crore.

No big Hindi films are slated for release this week as well, but that does not seem likely to help Thugs Of Hindostan, Mohalla Assi and Pihu.
