The shoot of Housefull 4, the fourth movie in the Housefull series, wrapped up today in Mumbai. Actor Akshay Kumar, who plays the lead in the film, revealed the news by sharing a picture with the team that included actors Bobby Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Chunky Pandey, Rana Daggubati, actresses Kriti Sanon, Kirti Kharbanda, Pooja Hegde, director Farhad Samji, producer Sajid Nadiadwala and others.

Housefull 4 is a reincarnation comedy. The story will take place in two time zones – one in the current era and the other, as said by the makers, in the ‘Baahubali’-like era. The film has been shot in Mumbai, London and at various locations in Rajasthan.

The film has gone through its share of problems in recent times. Actor Nana Patekar was earlier a part of the film. But after news resurfaced about the allegations of his sexual misconduct towards actress Tanushree Dutta on the sets of the unreleased film Horn OK Pleassss in 2009, he stepped down from the film and was replaced by Daggubati.

The film’s original director Sajid Khan was accused of sexual harassment by multiple women as well. He too stepped down from the film. Farhad Samji was then called to complete the shoot of the remaining portions.

He is a part of the writer and director duo Sajid-Farhad who directed Housefull 3 (2016). Housefull 4 is the first time that they are not working together. The first two instalments of the film were directed by Sajid Khan.

Housefull 4 will be releasing in the Diwali period of 2019.
