After collabrating on films like Jannat (2008), Khamoshiyan (2015) and Hamari Adhuri Kahani (2015), Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt’s Vishesh Films will join hands with Fox Star Studios again for the keenly awaited Sadak 2, a sequel to their 1991 hit Sadak.
The announcement was made by veteran film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his official Twitter handle.

Sadak starred Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt, the late Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Deepak Tijori and Neelima Azim. The characters of Dutt and Pooja will be reprised in Sadak 2. The upcoming film will also see Alia Bhatt, daughter of Mahesh Bhatt and half-sister of Pooja, and Aditya Roy Kapur in the cast. This is Roy Kapur’s first association with Vishesh Films after the successful musical Aashiqui 2 (2013).
Sadak 2 will see Mahesh Bhatt return as director after close to two decades. The last film he directed was Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan (1999), starring Saif Ali Khan, Twinkle Khanna, Chunky Pandey and Saurabh Shukla. The film had failed at the box office.
Sadak 2 is slated to be released on 15 November 2019.
