Box office: Poor first week for Saif Ali Khan's Baazaar

Actor Saif Ali Khan may have pinned hopes on Baazaar to be the blue-chip stock in his career. However, the business crime drama has turned out to be a lowly stock. The film, produced by Nikkhil Advani, has earned merely Rs15.70 crore nett in the first week, as reported by Boxofficeindia.com.  

The film had collected Rs10.75 crore nett in the opening weekend, and could make a paltry Rs5 crore through the week. Made at an estimated budget of Rs40 crore, Baazaar was released in more than 2,000 screens in India.

Meanwhile, Sharman Joshi’s Kaashi In Search of Ganga fared far worse. The film crawled its way to Rs1.05 crore nett.

Diwali week release Thugs Of Hindostan is expected to bring cheer to the box office. The film, starring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh, will be released on 8 November.
