Mumbai Pune Mumbai 3 song: Swapnil-Mukta prepare to welcome their first child in ‘Kuni Yenar Ga’

The first film of director Satish Rajwade’s Mumbai Pune Mumbai franchise had a unique story of a Pune-based boy (Swapnil Joshi) and a Mumbai-based girl (Mukta Barve) spending a day in Pune and falling in love. The second film, Mumbai Pune Mumbai 2 [2015], had the couple getting married and was a family entertainer that reminded us of the Rajshri Productions’ films.

The upcoming third film, Mumbai Pune Mumbai 3, takes the story to its next logical and predictable step — pregnancy. The first song of the film, ‘Kuni Yenar Ga’, clearly indicates that the third installment too will be a complete family entertainer.

It has been three years since Swapnil Joshi and Mukta Barve's characters got married, as mentioned in the teaser released earlier this year. They are now expecting their first child.

The song, written by Devyani Karve-Kothari and Pallavi Rajwade, has a simple melody that expresses the happiness of the entire family on the impending arrival of the little one.

As far as the singing is concerned, it’s a team effort by Hrishikesh Ranade, Aanandi Joshi, Saee Tembhekar, Jaydeep Bagwadkar, Varsha Bhave, Yogita Godbole and Mandar Apte. They have all brought out the innocence and genuine joy needed. Nilesh Moharir's music is simple and light-hearted.

Well-known actor Prashant Damle has cut down on the number of films he works in the past few years. In Mumbai Pune Mumbai 3, will be reprising his character from Mumbai Pune Mumbai 2 and looks in good form.

Mumbai Pune Mumbai 3 will be released on 7 December.
