After the allegations of harassment by actress Niharika Singh levelled against Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the actor has found an ally in his web-series Sacred Games co-star, Kubbra Sait. Sait, who played Cuckoo in the Netflix series alongside Siddiqui, stated that people should recognise the 'toxic difference before we go picking sides'.

Sait's tweet was a response to Singh's long post, shared by journalist Sandhya Menon on Twitter. In her post, Singh accused Siddiqui of being manipulative, abusive and violent while in the relationship.

In response, Sait tweeted 'A relationship gone sour, isn't #MeToo.'

Meanwhile, Siddiqui's spokesperson denied the allegations by Singh. They said, "Interestingly, it is not about the #MeToo campaign, rather it is about their relationship which wasn’t destined ever. Wonder, why Niharika Singh is now accusing the actor who is at its peak of the career knowingly? It is not a lesser known fact that prior to this relationship, she gained publicity out of her troubled relationship and broken engagement with Mayank Singh Singvi [sic]."

Singh has also accused T-Series head and producer Bhushan Kumar of making an inappropriate approach to her.

Siddiqui had written about his relationship with Singh in his autobiography, An Ordinary Life. However, after criticism from Singh, and another former girlfriend Sunita Rajwar, the publisher redacted the references from the book.
