Director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari has begun work on her next project featuring Kangana Ranaut. The director shared a photo of the clapboard on the first day of the shoot. Panga, featuring Ranaut, Neena Gupta, Richa Chadha and Pankaj Tripathi among others, is set to be released in 2019.
The film will see Ranaut play the role of a national level kabaddi player, with Punjabi actor Jassie Gill taking on the role of her husband. The film was announced in August earlier this year.
Ranaut is currently working on the post-production of the upcoming biopic, Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. She is expected to join the Panga team in Bhopal, where the first schedule is being filmed.
Panga will mark Iyer Tiwari's return to the director's chair after the success of Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017). The director is also penning the dialogues for the film, along with Nikhil Mehrotra.
Panga is produced by Fox Star Studios.
