SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated Telugu multi-starrer project, currently dubbed RRR, was officially launched with a ceremony attended by the cream of the Telugu film industry in Hyderabad on 11 November.

The yet-untitled project, being produced by DVV Danayya on a whopping budget of Rs300 crore, marks the first time Ram Charan and Jr NTR, who are rumoured to be playing brothers in the film, are collaborating on a project.

The event was graced by a long list of guests, including superstar Chiranjeevi, Rana Daggubati, Prabhas, K Raghavendra Rao, Koratala Siva and VV Vinayak.

Chiranjeevi gave the clap for the first shot of the film. The regular shooting is expected to commence soon. The makers are yet to reveal the full cast and crew details.

Not long ago, Danayya had said at a media interaction that the film would be a visual treat. “The pre-production work has been going on for months," the producer said. "The art department has commenced the work of erecting sets where crucial portions of the film will be shot."

It is worth mentioning that both Ram Charan and Jr NTR recently admitted signing the project without first hearing the script. “I believe in Rajamouli," Ram Charan told reporters while promoting his film Rangasthalam. "His stories have strong content and are character-driven. I am yet to listen to the script. Rajamouli promised me he will narrate the script soon," he added.

Jr NTR has already started training for his part. After achieving the desired look with international trainer Lloyd Stevens in Aravinda Sametha (2018), he has joined hands with him again for this project.
