Telugu producer S Gopala Reddy’s son Bhargav drowns in Nellore


Bhargav, who lived in Chennai, was in the Vakadu Mandal district to meet and interact with the staff of the hatchery he owned.

Sannareddy Bhargav Reddy, son of noted producer late S Gopala Reddy, drowned in Pambali village in Vakadu Mandal, SPSR Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh. The father, who passed away in 2008, had started his production house Bhargava Arts on his name.

Bhargav, who lived in Chennai, arrived in Vakadu on Monday (7 May) evening to meet and interact with the staff of the hatchery he owned. As per reports, he ventured into the sea with his pet dog at in the evening and did not return. His dead body was recovered on Tuesday (8 May) morning.

“Bhargav Reddy came to Pambali village at around 4.30pm. He interacted with the staff members in the hatchery and paid electricity bills and wages to them. Further, he went to the sea coast along with his pet at around 5.30 pm on Monday evening and had not returned since then,” a police officer told thehansindia.com.

The police have registered a case of suspicious death and investigations are on.

S Gopala Reddy had produced a number of hit Telegu films in the 1980s and 1990s like Mahanadi (1994), Madhura Nagarilo (1991), Murali Krishnudu (1988), Muvva Gopaludu (1987), Maa Pallelo Gopaludu (1985), among others.

The banner stopped making films after S Gopala Reddy’s death and Bhargav ventured into other businesses.
