Celebrity weddings are mostly private affairs, with the media getting limited access to the actual event, though that does not mean there are no 'leaks'.
Actress Sonam Kapoor, daughter of film star Anil Kapoor, married Delhi-based businessman Anand Ahuja in Mumbai today. And, as you might have expected, social media was abuzz with pictures and videos of the wedding as well as the preceding functions.
Here are some of the videos that went viral. In the first one below, the groom Anand Ahuja appears to be unfamiliar with the great Indian wedding rituals and is guided by his bride, though her mother is seemingly not too pleased with Sonam Kapoor addressing her husband by his pet name and directing him.
After the exchange of the vermala, or garlands, comes the big moment when Ahuja puts the vermilion (sindoor) in his bride's parting.
And how could Sonam's cousin Arjun Kapoor and his buddy Ranveer Singh not put on a show? The two actors serenaded her with the 'Masakali' number from Delhi-6 (2009). While Ranveer Singh seemed to know the lyrics, Arjun Kapoor needed to sneak a peek at his mobile every now and then. Ranveer Singh, who recently finished shooting for Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy, also added a little hip-hop flavour to the song.
Sri Lankan actress Jacqueline Fernandez, who seems to have immersed herself in Indian culture, was seen dancing to a popular Punjabi pop track.

Meanwhile, little Taimur Ali Khan made his maiden appearance at a celebrity wedding with his film star parents Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Taimur's mother will be seen later this month in a girl-gang film with Sonam Kapoor, Veere Di Wedding.

Sonam Kapoor herself truly enjoyed her big day, dancing to a popular track from DJ Sukhbir.
It was good to see the Kapoor clan all smiles after the difficult times they went through recently with the untimely death of actress Sridevi, the bride's aunt and wife of Anil Kapoor’s older brother Boney, in February. The celebration is expected to continue all night. We wish the newlyweds a happy married life.
