Two international hits, the Mexican comedy Instructions Not Included (2013) and South Korean thriller The Terror Live (2013), are headed to India. The films will be remade by Azure Entertainment, Lionsgate and Globalgate in a multi-title deal.

Earlier, Lionsgate had co-produced Brothers (2015) with Dharma Productions and Endemol India. The film was an official remake of the Tom Hardy starrer Warrior (2011). They had also teamed up with Anil Kapoor's production company, AKFC, to remake Red (2010), starring Bruce Willis and Helen Mirren.

Meanwhile, Azure Entertainment has already remade the South Korean film The Man From Nowhere into Rocky Handsome (2016) starring John Abraham. They are also slated to remake the award-winning Hong Kong film Infernal Affairs (2002), the Spanish film Contratiempo (2016) and the French film Les Lyonnais (2011).

Co-written and directed by Eugenio Derbez, Instructions Not Included is the most successful Mexican film in the US and has earned over $100 million globally. Derbez also stars in the film as Valentin, a playboy, who is saddled with a baby daughter from a one-night stand. He re-evalutes his life, becomes a stuntman in Hollywood and raises her as a single father. Six years later, her mother returns and fights for her custody.

Instructions Not Included has already been remade in France and a Brazilian version is due to hit the screens in May.

Kim Byung-woo's Korean thriller, The Terror Live, follows a disgraced newscaster Yoon Young-hwa (Ha Jung-woo) who eyes a return back to the limelight by airing his personal negotiations with a terrorist threatening to blow up a bridge. He broadcasts their conversations live hoping to capitalize on the situation, only to have it backfire completely when his own life is threatened.

So far remakes of only these two films have been announced, cast members and release dates have not been decided yet.
