Saiyami Kher to make Marathi film debut with Mauli, opposite Riteish Deshmukh

Mirzya actress Saiyami Kher is all set to make her Marathi film debut with Aditya Sarpotdar’s Mauli, opposite actor Riteish Deshmukh. Reportedly, Mauli will be the second film in the Lai Bhaari series, produced by Mumbai Film Company.

Kher shared the news on her Twitter handle, writing, “Delighted to announce my next. MAULI along with @Riteishd . So excited to go back to my maharashtrian roots! Need everyone’s good wishes & blessings. Ata maji Bari. Lai Bhari.”

The actress also shared a picture that has her wearing a traditional saree and Deshmukh dressed in a brown shirt and blue jeans.

Mauli went on floors last week. Deshmukh too posted a picture from the film's set and announced the project.

In Nishikant Kamat's Lai Bhaari (2014), Deshmukh had essayed two characters — Abhay and, interetsingly, Mauli. Going by the picture shared by the actor, it looks like the new film will carry forward the journey of Mauli.

Mauli is written by Kshitij Patwardhan, who wrote Sarpotdar’s superhit film Faster Fene (2017), also produced by Mumbai Film Company.
