Actor Ranveer Singh is stepping in for Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds in the Hindi version of Deadpool 2 and in the latest trailer, the Padmaavat (2018) actor brings his own uniqueness to the foul-mouthed superhero. In this sequel to the 2016 hit Deadpool, Wade Wilson (Reynolds) is back as the mercenary Deadpool who goes up against antagonist Cable (Josh Brolin) to save a young mutant.
Deadpool also puts together an X-Force team consisting of mutants like Bedlam, Shatterstar, Domino, and more. As both Cable and Deadpool clash repeatedly, Singh adds humour and levity to the proceedings with his renditions of Deadpool's comebacks, calling Cable 'chhote' and gives a shoutout to Saki Naka as he jumps out of a plane. He even adds in a "Ui, Maa" squeal in the trailer.
The actor excitedly announced that he was the voice of Deadpool on his Instagram by saying, "Astonishing how effectively I’ve managed to out-crass my Canadian counterpart @vancityreynolds. Never realised how fulfilling & rewarding foul Hindi language can be! #Deadpool2Hindi @FoxStarIndia"
Deadpool 2 is due to be released in theatres on 18 May.
