Wonderful to work with Madhuri again after Hum Aapke Hain Koun...!: Renuka Shahane

Actresses Madhuri Dixit Nene and Renuka Shahane ruled the hearts of the audiences as siblings in Sooraj Barjatya’s classic Hum Aapke Hain Koun...! (1994). The two will be seen together again after a gap of 24 years in Tejas Vijay Deoskar’s Marathi film, Bucket List.

In an exclusive chat with Cinestaan.com, Shahane spoke about her experience of working with Dixit Nene in the film.

Shahane is pleased with the way the film has turned out and feels working with Dixit Nene was a bonus. “We are very happy with the way things have turned out. The shoot went exactly like we planned. Tejas has been wonderful to work with. The set-up was very good. And of course the icing on the cake was Madhuri and to get to work with her again was wonderful,” she said.

When asked if they were reminded of the old days of Hum Aapke Hain Koun...! Shahane was quick to add, “Of course, majorly. All were remembering that [their characters from Hum Aapke Hain Koun...!] during the shoot.”

While talking about Dixit Nene’s behaviour on sets, Shahane said that she has spoilt everyone. “Firstly, Madhuri won everybody’s hearts on the sets. I was sure of that because she is like that. [She is] such a wonderful person and so down-to-earth. Everyone got that experience. I kept telling people that you have been spoilt after working with Madhuri, so you won’t be able to work with anyone else. You will find 100 faults in others,” she said laughingly.
