The big surprise hidden within the trailer of Madhuri Dixit Nene's Marathi film was the appearance of Sanju (2018) star Ranbir Kapoor. During the trailer launch, the actress revealed how Kapoor graciously came on board for her Marathi debut.
It was Dixit Nene's appearance in Kapoor-starrer, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) for a song, that prompted the actress to suggest his name for a cameo in Bucket List.

She said, "Ranbir is also one of my favourite actors. He is very good at his work. I really appreciate him. We danced and had a blast (in YJHD). The chemistry was great. So for this scene we thought of him."
But she wasn't sure if Kapoor would agree. "(Director) Tejas (Prabha Vijay Deoskar) came and asked, 'How about Ranbir?' I (excitedly) said, 'Yes, let's do it.' But of course then I said that although I have agreed but even he should say yes," added Dixit Nene.
"Ranbir was happy to reciprocate the gesture. "But he was so gracious, so wonderful. Such a charming boy. He said yes and he is a part of this film and we are so happy about that," she added.
Bucket List will be released on 25 May.
