Director Saket Chaudhary's Hindi Medium (2017) might have stunned audiences in China, but the director has his eyes on other things. While there have been reports about a sequel to the hit Irrfan Khan-starrer, the director has reportedly moved on to a different subject. Chaudhary is gearing up to work on another social drama, which will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film is expected to go on the floors before the end of the year.
While the director is expected not to continue with the sequel to Hindi Medium, the subject is likely to remain similar. Tabloid Mumbai Mirror reported that Chaudhary has already settled on three scripts, which focus on a social drama with a hint of comedy.
Khan's illness has already hit the preparation for the sequel to the hit film. In February this year, Homi Adajania had announced that Hindi Medium 2 will go ahead with a different director.
Mumbai Mirror quoted Chaudhary as saying, "Yes, work has begun on my next project, but I can’t reveal details at this point." He added, "I’m not very keen on sequels so I decided it was best to move on to something new.”
