Kapil Sharma sends legal notice to journalist for 'tarnishing reputation'

The Kapil Sharma controversy continues to rage on. A month after the actor-comedian got into a war of words with journalist Vickey Lalwani and his entertainment website, spotboye.com, over their reportage about his career, he has sent a legal notice asking the journalist and the firm to tender an 'unconditional apology' within seven days.
The actor's advocate Tanveer Nizam confirmed the development to IANS, a news agency.
Sharma's war of words began in April after he fired off a series of abusive tweets against Lalwani. On the same day, the journalist's website also uploaded a call recording of the actor-comedian hurling abuses against the website for spreading stories about his failure.
On 6 April, the actor had posted copies of the police complaint on his Twitter handle.

The legal notice also suggests that the publication ought to 'cease and desist' publishing 'defamatory/slanderous/libelous news/interviews/statements' against Sharma.
In a quote to IANS, Sharma's advocate said, "In view of the articles by Vickey Lalwani on Spotboye to wilfully defame my client, we have sent them a legal notice to publicly apologise within seven days, failing which we will institute civil and criminal proceedings against both."
