Wasn’t told Madhuri would be cast opposite me in Bucket List: Sumeet Raghvan

Sumeet Raghvan got an opportunity of a lifetime when he was offered a role opposite Madhuri Dixit Nene in her first Marathi film, Bucket List. Directed by Tejas Vijay Deoskar, the film is about a 40-year-old woman who sets out to complete the bucket list of her 20-year-old heart donor.

Interestingly, the actor wasn’t informed that the famed Hindi film actress would be cast opposite him. “No, Tejas didn’t reveal that. He had his reasons in not revealing it before. He said he will disclose after 2-3 days as to who is the protagonist,” Raghvan said in an exclusive interview with us.

However, after listening to the narration, Raghvan had realized that the actress in the lead has to be a celebrity. “I was seeing a big star in that role because honestly speaking, without any offence to anyone, the project wouldn’t have got the pull if it starred other Marathi actresses,” he added.

When asked about his character in Bucket List, he said, “I play the character of Mohan Sane, who is Madhura Sane’s husband. He is career driven and is placed at the top level due to his qualifications. He wants to climb the ladder further. He wants financial security and is concerned about the health of his wife.”

Bucket List hit the screens on 25 June.
