Tu. Ka. Patil teaser: Nagesh Bhonsle plays a ruthless landlord in Machindra Chate’s directorial debut

The film also stars Mythili Javkar, Siddheshwar Zadbuke, Sukanya Kalan and Harish Dudhade.

Machindra Chate, who runs a popular coaching class, turned producer with the successful Marathi film Bindhaast in 1999, directed by Chandrakant Kulkarni. This was followed by Mahesh Kothare's Chimni Pakhare (2001).

Now, after almost 15 years, Chate is making a comeback not only as a producer but also as a director with Tu. Ka. Patil. The film stars Nagesh Bhonsle in the titular role as Patil.

According to the teaser, the film will revolve around the landlord-cum-mafia don, Patil, who derives sadistic pleasure by tormenting the poor. The victims, obviously, have no means to revolt.

Sanjay Khapre and Ashok Shinde seem to be playing positive characters who might speak up against Patil.

The teaser says that the film "increases the pride of Marathi culture." We might have to wait for the trailer to know what it meant by this claim. The teaser also indicates to a rich production and costume design.

Tu. Ka. Patil also stars Mythili Javkar, Siddheshwar Zadbuke, Sukanya Kalan and Harish Dudhade. The release date of the film has not been announced yet.
