Actor Bobby Deol, who will be seen in Race 3, has revealed how he got on board for the film.
"One day, Salman called me and said, 'Mamu, shirt utarega? [will you take off your shirt?]' I told him I am ready to do whatever he wants me to," Deol told Mid-day.com. This was enough to secure a place in the multi-star cast.
Deol plays the character of Yash in the film. Though not confirmed, he is said to be one of the antagonists in the film. Khan had introduced his character as a main one.
Deol has been struggling with his career for a while now. His last hit was Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011). As Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 (2013) failed to get going, Deol disappeared from the scene. He made a comeback after four years with Poster Boys (2017), but that film tanked at the box office too.
Race 3 is his ray of hope. “Salman called me at a time when I was focussing on my career again. I am hungry for more work and hopefully, things will turn around,” added Deol.
After Race 3, the actor will be seen in Housefull 4, that will go on the floors from July. Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se is also on the cards, but Deol will first shoot for Housefull.
Race 3 will be released on 15 June.
