The Dangal (2016) director has teamed up with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Fox Star Studios for a student drama film.

Director Nitesh Tiwari's recent announcement has raised the excitement among film fans across the country. The Dangal (2016) director has long been in talks for his next project, and has now confirmed a release date for the venture. Backed by Sajid Nadiadwala's Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, as well as Fox Star Studios, Tiwari's next film is set to be released on 30 August 2019. The makers have yet to announce the cast of the film.

The 30 August 2019 release is close to Karan Johar-backed Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Brahmastra will be release on 15 August 2019.
The film also marks the second collaboration between Tiwari and Fox Star Studios, who had backed Dangal (2016).
In April this year, Mumbai Mirror had reported that Tiwari had finalised on Sushant Singh Rajput for a story about a student drama. Set in an engineering college, the story revolves around the protagonist's encounters with the successes and failures in his life.
While Rajput is currently involved in Abhishek Chaubey's Son Chiriya, he also has Tarun Mansukhani's Drive, and Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath lined up for this year.
Tweeting the announcement about his next on his account, Tiwari promised that he will be making an announcement about the cast soon.

Tiwari won the Filmfare for Best Director for Dangal (2016), and later collaborated with wife, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari for her film, Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017).
