The film is based on prime minister Narendra Modi's initiative, 'Beti bachao, beti padhao.'

In the upcoming Marathi film A B C, actors Suniel Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia will play cameos. They also appear in one of the teasers of the film.

But that’s not all. As seen in the second teaser, India’s prime minister Narendra Modi’s clips from his speeches and radio show Mann Ki Baat also find a place in A B C. As per the information available on the official YouTube page of the film, the story is based on PM’s initiative, 'Beti bachao, beti padhao' for education of the girl child.

The first teaser features only Modi’s voice along with the song 'Vande Mataram'. The second teaser, however, has too many incidents thrown in, which makes it impossible to figure out what the film is about. It is also haphazardly cut. It seems the story is about two kids — brother (Sunny Pawar) and his sister — from the slums and their struggle to survive.

Directed by Ramkumar Shedge, the film also stars Kishor Kadam and Kamlesh Sawant. Known Hindi film composers Sajid-Wajid have been roped in as music directors along with Bapi-Tutul.

It has become a regular feature for Hindi film actors to act or at least play cameos in Marathi films. Hrithik Roshan made an appearance in last year’s Hrudayantar (2017).

A B C will be released on 8 June.
