The Drishyam (2015) actress is the latest to join a cast which also includes Priyanka Chopra, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover.
Tabu joins Salman Khan on Bharat, Ali Abbas Zafar confirms

The cast of Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat seems to be expanding with every passing day. After the director welcomed actress Disha Patani and actor-comedian Sunil Grover, the latest joinee includes actress Tabu.
This will mark Tabu's second film with Salman Khan since Jai Ho (2014). The changeover to another commercial project, after Golmaal Again (2017), marks a change in the actress's choice of films.
The addition of Tabu was confirmed by the director with a tweet. "Finally it’s happening, so excited to work with you :) lots of love", wrote Zafar.

Bharat is an official remake of the Korean drama, An Ode To My Father (2014). According to reports, the film will trace the story of Salman Khan's protagonist, alongside the 70 year journey of India as a nation. It is unclear as to what role Tabu will play in the film.
The director has also begun work on the music of Bharat with composer duo Vishal-Shekhar.

Bharat is expected to be a full-fledged entertainer with Khan sporting 5 different looks through the film. The film is scheduled to go on the floors in April, and is expected to be released in June 2019.
The actor is currently preparing for another multi-starrer, Race 3, to be released on 15 June.
