Shweta Bachchan Nanda makes her acting debut with father Amitabh Bachchan

Shweta Bachchan Nanda, daughter of veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, faced the camera for the first time for an advertisement of a jewellery brand. In the ad, she will be seen with her father, who has been the ambassador of the brand since 2012.

“The father-daughter duo will enact the special bond they share on film for the first time. The ad film, scripted by L&K Saatchi & Saatchi and directed by GB Vijay from Sculptors Production, narrates the story of a father and daughter, while also echoing the values of trust and transparency,” said an official statement.

Going by the pictures shared by the ad-film makers, it looks like Shweta and Amitabh are playing a middle-class father and daughter. Amitabh appears older than his age, with the glasses and the muffler around his neck.

Shweta is a dress-designer and recently took up fiction-writing. Her novel, Paradise Towers, will be released in October. Although she has never acted before, she has made a quite a few public appearances with her family, especially during award shows.
