Emraan Hashmi has started shooting for his yet untitled crime thriller, to be directed by Malayalam filmmaker Jeethu Joseph, who helmed the original Drishyam (2013). Hashmi will be joined by artistes Rishi Kapoor, Vedika and Sobhita Dhulipala.

The film, produced by Sunir Kheterpal and Viacom18 Motion Pictures, is the official remake of The Body (2012), a Spanish thriller, directed by Oriol Paula and starring Jose Coronado, Belen Rueda and Hugo Silva.

In a brief interview with us, Dhulipala said, "I’m a part of this film. I have seen the original Drishyam and I was very moved by it. I’m quite looking forward to working with Jeethu Joseph and my co-actor

It was not hard for Dhulipala to agree to be a part of the remake for she had watched the original film before.

“I’ve watched the Spanish long back, and then I watched it recently again when I came to know it is being remade. It’s a superb film. The script that we have here is so nicely written; it is taut and crisp. I read the whole script in an hour. It’s hard to write a remake, especially when someone has already watched a film. It [the remake] has such a well written script that I just said, 'I’m on',” the actress added.

Dhulipala was last seen in Cinestaan Film Company’s Kaalakaandi (2018).
