Nawazuddin Siddiqui is preparing for another trip to the Cannes Film Festival with Nandita Das's Manto, but the actor might have to do without one of his most trusted companion. The actor posted a quirky tweet online bidding farewell to his 'trusted suit'.

Siddiqui tweeted about the sad separation saying, 'Goodbye my friend, you stood by my side for long, but I will have to go to Cannes without you this time.'

In his interview with film critic Anupama Chopra, the actor had joked that he had one suit that he always takes to all film festivals. With the actor attending Cannes for the fourth time in 5 years, it looks like his style has taken an upgrade.

In Manto, Siddiqui plays the infamous and controversial author who ended up suffering several libels in both India and Pakistan for his unbriddled style of writing.

The actor had also attended the festival in 2016 for his film, Raman Raghav 2.0 (2016), and before that for Gangs Of Wasseypur (2012-13).

The Cannes International Film Festival is set to begin on 8 May and will conclude on 18 May 2018.
