Phamous song 'Dil Beparwah': Jimmy Sheirgill, Shriya Saran go through life as newlyweds

The simple lyrics by Naveen Tyagi beautifully capture the emotions of the characters.

Mayur Lookhar

Arranged marriages in rural areas often mean the bride and groom get to know each other only after they tie the knot. Yet, there is a certain beauty in a couple getting to know each other after marriage. The 'Dil Beparwah' song from Phamous shows a newly married couple navigating through the daily drills of overcoming shyness to build a relationship.

Radhe Shyam (Jimmy Sheirgill) is married to Lalli (Shriya Saran). After the wedding, they barely look at each other on the bus home. The groom is too shy to speak to his bride. He steals glances at Lalli through windows and mirrors, often getting caught by his bride for staring away.

Their unusual romance underlines the tender nature of their relationship. The heart is itching to know the other. Slowly and steadily, the couple starts sharing intimate moments.

The simple lyrics by Naveen Tyagi beautifully capture the emotions of the characters. They are backed by a soft and soothing score by Sundeep Gosswami and Surya Vishwakarma. Singers Jubin Nautiyal and Jonita Gandhi do full justice to the lyrics and the music, chipping in with a nuanced performance.

Phamous will be out in theatres on 1 June. Watch 'Dil Beparwah' below:
