Director Meghna Gulzar's Raazi continues to shine at the box office. The film has managed to make Rs50 crore nett at the India box office. The spy thriller, starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, which was released on 11 May, made around Rs5.50-5.90 crore nett on Wednesday, taking its Indian business so far to Rs51.24 crore nett crore nett.

The last film, with a strong female lead, was perhaps Kangana Ranaut's Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015) that had bagged over Rs100 crore nett at the box office. Priyanka Chopra's Mary Kom (2014) had made Rs61 crore nett.

Also, there were no other solo release or any preceding week release that could eat into Raazi [business],” said Mohan.

Raazi was released across 1,200 screens in India. The film is made at an estimated budget of Rs40 crore. As per sources, the Dharma Productions and Junglee Pictures co-production is said to have fetched around Rs20 crore through digital, satellite, music and overseas rights.
