After a victorious run in the first weekend, Raazi, directed by Meghna Gulzar, has passed the difficult Monday test. The film, starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, earned Rs6 crore yesterday, as per figures shared by Boxofficeindia.com.

Raazi review: Alia Bhatt adds another incredible story to her name

The film had earned Rs7.50 crore on its first day. So, the drop is only around 20% from the first day earnings, which is a good sign. Raazi has been able to penetrate in areas other than the metro cities.

Raazi’s current grand total stands at Rs38.75 crore. As per trade sources, the film is made at a budget of around Rs40 crore. It is most likely to surpass the budget amount today and finish at a healthy score in the first week. In other words, Raazi is all set to be yet another box office success story of 2018.

Raazi is not a quintessential India-Pakistan war film: Vicky Kaushal

Raazi’s weekend figures of Rs32.75 crore were the second highest for a female-centric film. The first place is currently held by Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015) with Rs37.58 crore. However, it is argued that it wasn’t exactly a female-centric film as it had a known name like actor R Madhavan in the lead.

With no big film scheduled to be released this Friday, Raazi stands a good chance of earning well even in the second weekend.
