Looks like actress Nikesha Patel has just learnt the hard way of what to and what not to say in front of the media.
The actress, during a recent media interaction, had said, "You are asking about doing a movie with Prabhu Deva? I want to marry him!" as a response to a question on her willingness to work with the famous director, producer, dance choreographer and actor.
The point that she was trying to make was that she shared a really good rapport with him and that she was actually looking forward to working with him. However, her statement was taken a bit too seriously and media reports began doing the rounds that the actress was looking to marry the director.
Things went out of hand to such an extent that the actress has now had to issue a clarification.
In a statement, Patel said, "I'm so fed up with media calls [over the] last few days. It's about time I clarify this is not true. This news has been completely misunderstood. I'm busy with work and family. I am not marrying anyone.
"After many papers and websites carried the Prabhu Deva sir news, I think it's time to clarify that's it's not true. I am not marrying anyone. He's purely just a friend and a well-wisher. I call him sir only," she said.
The actress plays the lead along with Jackie Shroff in director Kasthoori Raja's upcoming film, Paandi Muni.
