Actor Arjun Kapoor is in no mood to rest after his cousin Sonam Kapoor's big bash wedding. He has now signed on for Raj Kumar Gupta's next film, India's Most Wanted. The film will have Kapoor playing the role of an intelligence officer leading a high-stakes secret operation to capture one of India's most wanted criminals.
The project was announcement by Fox Star Studios on their Twitter handle. The picture has the actor and the director posing for a newspaper cover. The announcement seems to mirror the gritty realism of Gupta's films.
The description also reads that the story of the film will be "inspired by the capture of India's most wanted, without firing a single bullet."
The Gupta and Kapoor had previously tried to collaborate on the movie adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's bestseller, Revolution 2020. However, the project fell by the wayside.
India's Most Wanted is likely to go on floors in August 2018 and will be released on 24 May 2019.
Gupta recently delivered a success with the Ajay Devgn starrer, Raid (2018), based on one of the longest income tax raids in Indian history. The film went on to be a box-office success, and also received critical acclaim.
Arjun Kapoor currently has three major projects in Vipul Amrutlal Shah's Namastey England, Ashutosh Gowariker's period drama Panipat, and Dibakar Banerjee's Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.
