Actor Irrfan Khan’s announcement last week about him suffering from a rare disease came as a jolt for his fans across the world. They are ardently wishing for him to get well soon. The actor’s condition has also delayed his upcoming projects, one of them being director Vishal Bhardwaj’s gangster saga, produced by Prernaa Arora’s KriArj Entertainment.
Arora has maintained that Khan is still very much a part of the film. “We were about to begin shooting from next week. Vishal had just come back from his final recce. We were excited about the project; now this has happened. Irrfan and Deepika (Padukone) are our first and only choice. Life is so unpredictable. Every moment is a reminder to not take life for granted,” she said while talking to News X news channel.
She, obviously, got worried when she came to know about the actor’s illness. But she is sure Khan will fight it out. “When Vishal learnt about Irrfan’s illness, I felt very uneasy. I just wish he gets well soon. He is a fighter, a self-made success story and an inspiration to so many of us,” said Arora.
This will be Khan's fourth film with Bhardwaj after Maqbool (2004), 7 Khoon Maaf (2011) and Haider (2014). The filmmaker had initially adapted the story of Saona Didi from author S Hussain Zaidi and Jane Borges' book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai. However, while working on the script, he realized that it had developed into a different story.
The Hindi Medium actor revealed about his condition on 5 March on his Twitter page and urged everyone to not speculate about it.
