The temple authorities, however, continue with their stand stating that only temple authorities and the local police is allowed to take their phones inside.
Raveena Tandon replies to allegations, says mobiles allowed in Lingaraja Temple

The use of camera and mobile phones is usually prohibited at popular places of worship in India. Actress Raveena Tandon found herself in the dock after the Lingaraja Temple authorities filed a complaint against the actress for shooting inside the temple, located in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha.
Tandon has denied the allegation claiming that mobiles phone are allowed inside the temple premises, and hence indicating that anyone could have taken the actress' pictures, and shot her video.
"Please see the lady in the picture. She is a local and had her mobile phone in her hand . While I did not," Tandon tweeted.

While English news channel, Republic Now, reported that the actress was shooting an advertisement in the area and it was a production personnel’s decision to shoot in the no-shoot zone of the temple. Tandon was supposedly offering some beauty tips.
A temple official has ridiculed the claim that locals are allowed to carry their phones in the temple.
“Only the temple authorities or [sic] the local police is allowed to carry mobile phones inside. There was no local present when the incident happened. It was somebody from the actress’ team who clicked pictures and shot the video. We have have filed a complaint against her for flouting the temple rules," Rajeev Parida, executive officer, (Administration) Lingaraja Temple told Cinestaan.com.
