Janhvi Kapoor celebrates birthday with children at orphanage

The tradition of visiting an orphanage was started by her mother Sridevi, who passed away on 24 February this year. Looks like the daughter intends to continue with it even after Sridevi's death.

Janhvi Kapoor turned 21 yesterday (6 March), a few days after the sudden demise of her mother and legendary actress Sridevi on 24 February.

It seems Janhvi was given a surprise on her birthday by cousins Sonam, Anshula, and others that had her cutting quite a few cakes. Sonam and their uncle Sanjay shared a few pictures from the celebrations.

The pictures instantly went viral with users wishing Janhvi. However, there were also others who were surprised to see them in a celebratory mood only a few days after the demise of Sridevi.

In a picture shared by Janhvi's fan club, her father, producer Boney Kapoor, can also be seen.

During the day, Janhvi visited an orphanage to ring in her birthday. This tradition was started by her mother and looks like the daughter intends to continue with it even after Sridevi's death. A picture and video from the event was shared by Janhvi’s fan club on Instagram.

In the picture, the 21-year-old is seen with her eyes closed for a prayer before cutting the cake. The video has children from the orphanage singing the ‘Happy birthday’ song for Janhvi.
