Will take lessons in spoken Marathi, says Kay Kay Menon on debut Ek Sangaychay

Hindi film actor Kay Kay Menon is now all set to make his Marathi film debut with Ek Sangaychay: Unsaid Harmony. The acclaimed actor will be playing the lead in the film, which will be the directorial debut of actor Lokesh Vijay Gupte.
Menon has close to 80 Hindi films to his credit. He instantly agreed to enter Marathi cinema after knowing about the subject of the film. “I keep watching Marathi films. The subjects tried here manage to move me. As soon as Lokesh narrated the script to me, it touched my heart and I instantly agreed to do it,” he said in an official statement.
He added that speaking the language won’t be a problem for him. “Having stayed in Maharashtra, I have been hearing Marathi and I understand it. I will be learning to speak Marathi for this film,” said Menon.
Speaking about the film, Gupte said, “It is about the unsaid conversation between kids and parents. The film is an attempt at showcasing change in lifestyle, the hectic schedule of parents, expectations from children, constantly changing world, competition, changing mentalities of kids and parents and its good and bad effects on them.”
While citing reasons for casting Menon, he added, “I wanted an excellent actor with great personality and someone who would understand the subject and play it as effectively. I found him in the form of Menon. Not just the director, but also the writer in me was convinced with him. After meeting him my decision was reconfirmed and I locked his name.”
Ek Sangaychay will go on floors on 9 March and will be released during Dussehra on 18 October.
