Actress Aahana Kumra recently featured in a United Nations video in collaboration with Youtube's EIC (East India Comedy) for an initiative called 'Women and their Role in Creating Peaceful Societies and in Preventing Violent Extremism.'

The video is a satirical take on how gender norms and patriarchy tries to brainwash women by using various methods so they can control them.

The Lipstick Under My Burkha (2017) actress is seen spoofing a commercial which introduces a new product to help women match up to all the expectations that society places on them so they can become the 'adarsh bhartiya nari' (ideal Indian woman).

The video seems to be an off screen extension of Kumra's powerful outing in Lipstick Under My Burkha last year, where her character throws a light on how much women have to fight to make their dreams come true.

The video will be an official one promoting UN's message on women empowerment. Comedians from Indonesia and Bangladesh will also be joining hands to the global campaign.
