A Kid Like Jake is all set to be Priyanka Chopra's next theatrical release. Starring Claire Danes, Jim Parsons, Octavia Spencer and Chopra, the film will hit the screens on 8 June.

Before that the light-hearted family drama will also open the San Francisco International Film Festival on 4 April.

Directed by Silas Howard and written by Daniel Pearle, based on his 2013 play of the same name, A Kid Like Jake revolves around parents looking for the right New York primary school for their 4-year-old son who is a non-conforming child.

Chopra plays the supporting role of Amal, a friend of Danes' character whose son befriends Jake.

Earlier this year, the film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, where it received a standing ovation. The reviews have been mostly favourable so far.

Meanwhile, Chopra's TV show, Quantico is all set to premiere on 26 April. The actress is currently wrapping up the shoot of the show in Ireland.
