Count Google CEO Pichai Sundararajan, popularly known as Sundar Pichai, as yet another Sridevi fan who paid tribute to the late actress.
Sridevi died of an accidental drowning in Dubai on 24 February. Today (3 March), Pichai sent his condolences to her family by responding to Boney Kapoor’s statement from Sridevi’s Twitter account in which the producer asked for privacy as the family grieved her loss.
Pichai named Sadma (1983), a Hindi remake of the Tamil film Moondram Pirai (1982), his favourite and recalled the special memories he had of watching the actress on the big screen with his family. “Her performance in Sadma was one of my favorites and have special memories of watching Sridevi with my family. She was a pioneer and an inspiration to so many of us. So very sorry for your tragic loss and may she RIP.”
Pichai was born in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, and joined Google in 2004.
