Bheja Fry (2007) director Sagar Ballary is planning the third film in the franchise. The director is said to have zeroed in on a story idea.
“We have an idea and some concept. We would like to make it definitely, we want to do it, but as I am working on other films right now so Bheja Fry is not going to happen immediately,” Ballary told Press Trust of India news agency.
Bheja Fry (2007) was inspired by the French film Le Dîner de Cons (1998). Rajat Kapoor, Vinay Pathak and Ranvir Shorey brought the house down with their wit and the situational comedy. Ballary then made a sequel in 2011, but it wasn't successful at the box office.
There are murmurs of Ballary's next being a sports based film, but the filmmaker refused to reveal anything about the same. His last work was Hum Tum Aur Shabana (2011).
