Ever since actors Shah Rukh Khan and Farhan Akhtar showed an inclination towards the next instalment in the Don franchise, the rumours about the film have not stopped. The latest reports that emerged last week suggested that the next film will see actress Priyanka Chopra being replaced by a new heroine, while Akhtar will make an appearance as a cop himself. However, the director seems to suggest that there is no such plan in the future.
Tweeting on his social media account, Akhtar wrote 'Request those who conjure up news about #Don3 without any fact checking to please refrain.'

It is not fair to raise expectations of the films fanbase via false news.
The rumours about Don 3 have doing the rounds since the last month. A report in DNA suggested that the actor-director has finally locked on a script, and has already pitched the idea to Khan.
While Chopra is currently in India, the actress seems to have her hands full with several production commitments. She has also not confirmed any signing in 2019. This was given credence by the DNA report which suggested that Chopra might not be a part of the film franchise anymore.
However, with Akhtar rubbishing the rumours, it looks like Don 3 remains faithful to the iconic line of being impossible to catch.
