It is widely believed that Aamir Khan’s next film after Thugs Of Hindostan is likely to be his 'dream project' on the epic Mahabharata. Reportedly a five part film, it is supposed to keep the actor busy for the next 10 years.
However, if latest reports are to be believed, Khan could be seen playing spiritual guru Rajneesh, popularly known as Osho, in a web series. The director of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (2012) and Kapoor & Sons (2016), Shakun Batra, is said to helm the project.
DNA, a daily newspaper, quote a source as saying, “Everyone knows what a great sense of script Aamir has. When he got to know about this one, it immediately piqued his interest. In fact, he is said to have visited Los Angeles, USA, to meet the officials of the streaming channel. This is definitely an important development.”
When contacted, Batra refused to reveal anything. "Right now, it is just people speculating. I wouln't like to comment anything," Batra told Cinestaan.com.
On being asked whether he has approached Khan and if he is pitching the concept to online platforms, he said, "Right now, it is a premature speculation. So, I wouldn't be able to confirm any of your queries."
Khan is currently shooting for Thugs Of Hindostan and the final shoot schedule will be wrapped up in April.
