The first song of the Mahesh Babu-starrer Bharat Ane Nenu was released by the team on YouTube this morning, much to the delight of the star's fans and film buffs.
The song, also titled 'Bharat Ane Nenu', or 'The Song Of Bharat', evoked phenomenal response with almost 1.7 million views and over 154,000 likes within eight hours.
Scored by Devi Sri Prasad, the song, a solemn and gripping number, has been rendered with authority by David Simon. The lyrics by Ramajogayya Sastry are deep and layered. Many fans have already said the song's lyrics have got them thinking, both about the film's content and about life. It is evident that the number has raised expectations from the film.
At 10 am today, Mahesh Babu tweeted the link to the song on YouTube and said: 'The Song of Bharat' is here. Within an hour, almost 8,000 people had expressed love for the number and over 3,200 people had retweeted his link.
The link was also put out by the film's director Koratala Siva at almost the same time with a similar result.
The film, which has Kiara Alia Advani playing the female lead, has some of the best professionals helming the various technical departments, with cinematographer Tirru handling the camera and Sreekar Prasad handling the editing. It also has Suresh Selvarajan helming the art direction department.
