Raid review: Ajay Devgn's raid, Saurabh Shukla's rage seize the imagination

Raid earned a good number over the weekend with Rs39.75 crore nett. On its first Monday film added another Rs6.25 crore to its kitty. However, the graph showed a drop in the subsequent weekdays: Tuesday-Rs5.5 crore, Wednesday-Rs4.85 crore and Thursday-Rs4.25 crore. This does not bode well for the film and the its total earning is not expected to reach a substantial number.

As per a trade source, Raid is produced at a cost of Rs70 crore. The film’s earnings will need to improve if this number is to be reached. Hopefully, the positive word-of-mouth might give it the chance it needs.

Siddharth P Malhotra's Hichki, starring Rani Mukerji, hit the screens today (23 March). However, this is unlikely to affect Raid's performance.
