Criticised for a poor remake by the original makers of the 'Ek Do Teen' song in Baaghi 2, a beleaguered Jacqueline Fernandez is finding support from her Race 3 co-stars. After superstar Salman Khan, it was Anil Kapoor's turn to jump to her defence. Kapoor was part of the original film Tezaab (1988), that saw actress Madhuri Dixit in all her glory in the 'Ek Do Teen' song, choreographed by Saroj Khan.

Kapoor reckoned that Fernandez had done an exceptional job in the remake.

“What a momentous task it was to follow in @MadhuriDixit's footsteps, and @Asli_Jacqueline has done it exceptionally! It takes a lot of courage & conviction to attempt to recreate an iconic song that so many people have loved for so long! #EkDoTeen,” Kapoor tweeted.

Earlier, Baaghi 2 leads Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani, too, defended Fernandez.

Both Saroj and Dixit have so far not commented on the remake.
