Director Raj Kumar Gupta’s Raid has shown good growth at the box office over the weekend. The film, starring Ajay Devgn, Saurabh Shukla and Ileana D’Cruz, earned Rs16.75 crore in India on Sunday (18 March), as per figures shared by boxofficeindia.com.

Raid opened with a decent Rs9.75 crore on Friday (16 March) and showed some growth on Saturday (17 March) when it earned Rs13.25 crore. The upward journey continued on Sunday, taking the total domestic earning to Rs39.75 crore.

As per trade sources, the film is made at a budget of Rs70 crore. Needless to say, it was vital for the film to earn well in the first weekend and it is eqaully imperative that it remain steady during the week.

Meanwhile, director Luv Ranjan’s Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety had an excellent fourth weekend. The film, starring Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh Nijjar, earned Rs4.95 crore from 16-18 March.
