Besides starring in the American television show, Quantico, actress Priyanka Chopra is also the United Nation's global goodwill ambassador. This explains her presence on a panel titled 'How Do We Prepare Young People For The World of 2030 And Beyond?' on Global Education And Skills Forum being held in Dubai on 17 and 18 March.

Former Australian prime minister Julia Gillard, chairperson on the Global Partnership for Education, minister of education of Ghana, Matthew Opoku Prempeh, and head of Varkey Foundation, Sunny Varkey were on the panel alongside Chopra.

The actress spoke up for the basic rights of children around the world saying they should be given books in hand and should not be worrying about when they would get shot. She imagined a better world in the future through education and said the younger generation gives her hope. She added that education empowers people around the world.

As Chopra currently lives in New York, the moderator asked her about living in the Trump regime "as an American" and quickly corrected himself saying, "as an Indian living in America", to which the actress retorted "as an Indian living in America on a work visa". The audience laughed and clapped at the funny exchange.

Chopra spoke about the lessons to be learned from the protests against sexual harrassement and many other fundamental rights around the world, "With the Internet, it's such an incredible time to be a global citizen. No matter where in the world people are, they can have a conversation together and are empowered to be able to bring their thoughts together. Women have support from other women, which is such a shocking revelation, which doesn't really happen because women are always pitted against each other," she said.
