Actress Alia Bhatt, who turns 25 today (15 March), is busy shooting in Bulgaria for her next film, director Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra (2019). She did manage to share an adorable throwback video on Instagram of her first birthday where her father, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, is seen singing 'Happy Birthday' to her as a baby dressed in a pink dress. Her mother, actress Soni Razdan, is filming the precious moment between father and daughter. It gets even better when baby Alia turns to the camera and calls out 'Mama' to her.
She captioned the video, "Daddy’s little girl. Whether you’re 1 or 25."
Mahesh shared cute photograph of young Alia for her birthday. He wished her and simply stated, "Such a BIG miracle in such a LITTLE girl!"
Meanwhile, it seemed that Soni Razdan was really missing her younger daughter in Bulgaria. She wished Alia and shared a collage of childhood photos and a recent photo of the two of them and revealed the story behind Alia's name. She wrote, "On this day 25 years ago you were born Alia. Your name had already been chosen in my head. Alia Knightly was a lovely British Indian model and when I read that name I had decided if I had a girl we would call her Alia. Luckily your father agreed. I had no idea what the name meant then. It was many years later that I found out it means ‘exalted’. And that you most certainly are."
Alia's next release will be Meghana Gulzar's Raazi (2018), co-starring Vicky Kaushal. The film is due to be released on 11 May.
