The first teaser of Ranangan, which was released last week, didn’t show Swwapnil Joshi's face clearly. We could only make out that the actor is sporting long hair for the first time in his career. The actor’s look was revealed in a film poster today.
Joshi carries off the long hair and bearded look comfortably, but it does add shades of a grey character to his personality.
Going by the teaser, it seems his character Shlok is more like Lord Krishna from the great battle of Mahabharata. They have given another clear hint of it through the visual where he is playing a flute.
Ranangan will see Joshi and veteran actor Sachin Pilgaonkar come together for a film after almost 10 years. They were last seen together on the big screen in Aamhi Satpute (2008), the Marathi remake of the iconic Hindi film Satte Pe Satta (1982).
The teaser had revealed that Ranangan is a political-cum-family drama. The film is Rakesh Sarang’s directorial debut. His Hindi film Horn ‘Ok’ Pleassss was to be released in 2009, but hasn't seen the light of day. It features Nana Patekar, Muzammil Ibrahim and Rimi Sen.
Ranangan will be released on 11 May.
