Sajid Nadiadwala signs Bobby Deol for Housefull franchise 

Actor Bobby Deol made a rather forgettable comeback with Poster Boys (2017), but he will now have his moment in the limelight as producer Sajid Nadiadwala has signed him up for the fourth instalment of the Housefull franchise. The film's publicist confirmed the development in a press note. Deol will also be seen in Race 3 this year.

While Deol and Nadiadwala haven't worked together before, the latter's first film as producer was Deol senior, Dharmendra-starrer Zulm Ki Hukumat (1992).

Deol is currently filming for Salman Khan's Race 3 and will begin shooting for Housefull 4 thereafter. Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh have been confirmed for Housefull 4, but there is no word yet on whether Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham will return to the franchise.

DNA newspaper had reported that Parineeti Chopra had pipped Sonakshi Sinha for Housefull 4, but Chopra had called out the report to be false. Now, Sinha's publicist has also clarified that the actress was never in contention for Housefull 4.

“Sonakshi Sinha surely has many films in the pipeline and every now and then we keep hearing speculations about her signing some film. And one such recent rumour is that the actress doing Housefull 4. However, none of this is the true. Sonakshi will be shooting for Dabangg 3 around the same time as Housefull 4 goes on floor. In fact, the actress does not have dates for Housefull 4, as she will be shooting for the third part of the successful franchise Dabangg," Sinha's publicisit said in a statement.

Sajid Khan, who helmed the first two films in the franchise, will return as the director in Housefull 4. Housefull 3 was directed by Sajid Samji and Farhad Samji.
