Director Vishal Pandya’s Hate Story IV has opened to average business in its first weekend. The film, starring Urvashi Rautela, Karan Wahi, Ihana Dhillon and Vivan Bhatena, has made Rs11.75 crore in its first three days, as per figures shared by Boxofficeindia.com.
After opening at Rs3.25 crore on Friday, the film didn’t show substantial growth in the next two days as it made Rs4 crore and Rs4.50 crore.
The previous two films in the franchise had fared much better at the ticket window in the first weekend. Hate Story 3 and Hate Story 2 made Rs23.61 crore and Rs13.81 crore in the first three days.
This Friday also saw the release of Arjun Mukherjee’s 3 Storeys. The film, starring Renuka Shahane, Masumeh Makhija, Pulkit Samrat and Richa Chadha, has been receiving praises from audience and critics alike. However, it has performed poorly at the box office, earning only Rs1.60 crore in the first weekend.
Dil Juunglee, starring Taapsee Pannu and Saqib Saleem, which was also released on Friday, has been a complete disaster at the box office. It earned only Rs90 lakh in the first weekend.
